Mario Colonel has two passions in his life: mountaineering and photography. For 30 years now, he has traveled on the roof of Europe to capture images of the mountain and people. His base camp: Chamonix, in the heart of the Alpine massif. This is where he set up his laboratory and his art gallery. This summer, Mario prepared a photo expedition in the Alps, around the Aiguille du Midi. At his side, two professional mountaineers whom he has photographed in the most impressive places: crevasses, Rochefort ridges, Giant's Tooth, crossing the Vallée Blanche ... The image hunter helps us discover all the demands of his profession, the management of dangers and the bivouacs in the high mountains.
