Yukon, A White Dream recounts the personal quest of talented wildlife photographer Jérémie Villet, an image dreamer in love with the cold. Awarded at the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, he travels alone the white deserts of the northern hemisphere with his pulka and telephoto lens in search of animals living in the cold. Each year, when the snow first falls amid the last autumn leaves, the white landscapes form the perfect backdrop for the eye of the young photographer. He uses the white of snow like a painter uses white paper to reveal the purity of nature and transcribe its beauty. His monochrome and minimalist photographs bring back moments imbued with dreaminess, far from the extreme nature of natural conditions. His works show that contemporary art can take root in the aesthetics of nature. During his next expedition to the Canadian Far North, Jérémie prepares to explore the wild and extreme region of the Yukon, with the main objective of photographing the iconic "Mountain Goat", the mountain goat, which depends entirely on the cold. and altitude for its survival. Rarely photographed in winter, this white animal comes straight out of the last ice age. His quest, both intimate and universal, is to bring back uncluttered photographs of this species, witness to a sensitive and fragile fauna. To successfully approach him, the difficulty of accessing mountain sites and freezing temperatures will make his task difficult. Driven by unique human and animal adventures and encounters, the documentary allows you to enter the photographer's intimacy by focusing on his approach and his motivations. This photographic quest also delicately addresses this changing world. These wild environments are the first witnesses of the current warming and they are changing rapidly. Far from any civilization, immaculate nature has remained his childhood garden, and photography, his inalienable right to dream. As in a parallel world in which reality is a dream. A dream dressed in white.
